I followed Rep. Barney Frank around on Capitol Hill for a couple of hours on Wednesday for a Boston Globe story about his retirement from Congress. Very excited to see it end up on the front page.

I covered Lois Lerner, the director of the IRS division that oversees nonprofit groups, during a hearing before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee for Bloomberg. One of the images found the front page of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette. Lerner told the committee that she did nothing wrong and then invoked her Constitutional right [...]

“Pete Marovich's images are successful on many levels. First, they are visually compelling. Pete has the eye of a cinematographer and can take an ordinary situation and make something extraordinary out of it.
Secondly, Pete connects with his subjects and through his photography allows others to be transported into their world. Thirdly, Pete respects the people he photographs. I highly recommend Pete Marovich for any photo-related endeavor.”
— Scott Strazzante, Photojournalist, Chicago Tribune
“Pete has a great eye, and he works for a good image like nobody's business. The people on the other side of the lens truly interest him, and this passion shows in his work. He understands narrative, news, culture, and brings a wealth of life experience to his work. If you can work with Pete, do it!”
— William Ramsey, Night City Editor, The Daily News-Record (Harrisonburg, Va.)
Pete Marovich has always gone above and beyond and made each assignment his own. I've genuinely enjoyed and appreciated his efforts and his photos every time he has shot for us. It's rare to find his level of passion, dedication and raw talent; he's beyond a true professional.
— Erica Lusk, Assistant Photo Editor - The Chronicle of Higher Education
"There aren't many photographers who could deliver a unique image of one of the world's most photographed personalties, Tiger Woods. As the editor of Links Magazine, I assigned Pete Marovich that task and he delivered in a big way. He came through similarly on numerous other occasions for me as well. Pete is reliable, professional and a great ambassador for any publication he represents. He has great vision, and always plotted his course carefully prior to shooting. I would heartily support his application for assignments, and can't imagine he'd produce anything but world-class images."
