Activists marched through the streets of Washington, D.C.to illuminate the social and economic costs of putting profit in front of the resources, rights and policies that can end HIV/AIDS. The march ended at the White House to demand “the political will necessary to ensure economic justice for all and to defend and protect the human rights of our marginalized communities, including people living with HIV & AIDS. The march was part of the 2012 International AIDS Conference in Washington, D.C.
I recently shadowed U.S. Congressman Tim Ryan (D-OH) around Capitol Hill on assignment for the Columbus Dispatch. Got some great play on the front of their Insight Section.
