On June 28, 2012, the Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of much of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
The anticipated Supreme Court ruling allows the federal government to continue implementing the health care law passed in 2010. The law will take full effect in 2014. Popular provisions that prohibit insurers from denying coverage for pre-existing medical conditions and allow parents to keep their children on family policies to the age of 26 will continue.
I covered Lois Lerner, the director of the IRS division that oversees nonprofit groups, during a hearing before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee for Bloomberg.
