I was hanging out at the Rockingham County Fair waiting for the start of the Doobie Brothers’ concert (yes they are still alive, and still a good show even though there are only a few of the original members in the group), when the usual late afternoon summer thunderstorm rolled in.
Thankfully it only came down for a short time. Then one of the brightest rainbows I have seen appeared. Then came the double rainbow. The second band of color was not as easy to see or capture in camera, but there is a hint of it in the image.
There was a lot of time to make some photos of the rainbows over the midway. This was one of my favorites and actually an accident since this lady was simply walking through my frame.
